Beginning the Adventure

  I finally got my luggage 26 hours after it was dropped off at the ship’s terminal!  It was inadvertently delivered to an empty stateroom. Just before the luggage was delivered,  I purchased a polo shirt and a tee shirts – courtesy of Holland America – so I would have something clean to wear. I am on board the Amsterdam waiting to depart for Costa Rica – our 1st stop. I arrived on board shortly after noon, checked my luggage at Port Terminal. On board, I took a tour of the ship, had a “Welcome Aboard” glass of champagne and had brunch about 2:30PM. Then  participated in the evacuation drill. It is just after 7 PM and I am still waiting for my luggage which was checked just 100 feet from the ship!
